The breakfast club at Hotel Tabachin

One of the things that already has become a "ritual" during our stay is the breakfast together with the owner of the Hotel Tabachin - Paul or Don Pablo as the people from Puerto call him - and one other guest of the hotel, Eric.

Since Paul and Frank are both passionate about American history the breakfasts are always as delicious as they are instructive. Frank is a Vietnam veteran and after that he worked directly for the US President. Paul on the other hand was a teacher and apart from having personally met Che Guevara he also taught at a College near Seattle and one of his students was a certain Bill Gates (yes, THE Bill Gates).

You can therefore imagine that we hear a lot of very interesting stories over toast and eggs.
